I am a Californian who came to Istanbul to have a life experience, and ended up starting a new one. I fell in love with the city, the food, the people, and one Turk specifically. I have also joined a challenge to read 52 Books in 52 Weeks (hence the many posts about books). I love exploring my new home, learning Turkish, taking photographs (Istanbul is very photogenic), cooking, knitting, watching Bollywood, being outdoors, hanging out with my friends, and keeping in touch with family and friends back home.
